The Tanto offers excellent quality at a reasonable price. The blade is hand forged-folded steel and differentially tempered using a traditional claying method to created a HRC58 on the edge. The temper line (hamon) very prominent after hand mirror polished. The fittings (koshirae) are made of brass with karakusa design motif . The saya is done in a glossy black lacquer.
